Ahead of the 1st broadcast of the Season, there are 2 pre-test opportunities. There will be for a 60′ duration from 0930BST/1030CEST/1130EEST on both Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th October. Please make good use of these Tests.

The first broadcast of the Season is today 27th September. There is the usual Test at 1000-1100BST (with a further 45′ of satellite time for ROH internal use 1100-1145BST. You may use this but the content will be varying and discontinuous)

The main transmission starts at 1800 BST and is due to follow this timetable:

18:00 – Test, 55 minutes

18:55 – Countdown, 20 minutes

19:15 – Pre-Show, 15 minutes

19:30 – Act I, 55 minutes

20:25 – Interval (including interval feature), 25 minutes

20:50 – Acts II and III, 1 hour and 30 minutes

22:20 – Curtain call, 10 minutes

NT LIVE “Much do about Nothing” 8th September 2022

There is a test today, 7th September at 1200-1300 ahead of tomorrow’s broadcast. There will be the usual NT Live Test loop and all support services will be operational.

Make best use of this test as there is not a Test on the morning of the 8th

UPDATE 1730 8th: The feed for tonight’s broadcast is now live. The Test will run to 1830, followed by the walk-in. The Host introduction is at 1900 with an anticipated end time of approx 2150

ROYAL OPERA HOUSE Pre-Season Test 2nd September

Good morning. The ROH will be re-testing their new broadcast delivery workflow 1100-1200BST today. They will be looking to test the robustness of their IP path and also the availability of all subtitles across as platforms (various FTA IRDs and the Ip-delivered managed platforms.

Content is likely to be discontinuous and stop-start. Do not panic once you are tuned if you see the content stop.

Any systemic issues will be reported here so do check back occasionally before contanting your support teams.

UPDATE@11:02BST The feed is now LIVE. All subs are present except subtitle PID 1034 (ENG for UK Cinemas). This is because the original recording did not have these. Subtitle PID 1031 is currently called “und” instead of the correct CZE
