Met Opera: TEST 8th October: UPDATE

UPDATE: Both feeds are established and stable with good margins and c/n. Hope all goes well for you too.

 

A reminder that there is a Test this morning at 0830GMT/0930BST(UK+Ireland)/1030CEST(W.Europe)

There will be a feed on IS-1002 with English subtitles.

There will be a feed on Eut5wa/AB3 with Spanish and French subtitles

There are NOT feeds on IS-1002 with either German or Russian subtitles. Use the English feed to check your ability to tune and the serviceability of your equipment.

All feeds are DVBS-2/QPSK/Pilot OFF

Good luck for the start of this new Season of Met Opera.

p.s. there will be a 1-hr Test on Telstar 12 tomorrow (9th) at 1200GMT

Met Test: There is a delay: Sorted @0842GMT

The teleport tell me they are having a few problems with Telenor in  accessing the IS-1002 satellite (AB3/Eut5w and T12 are all stable)

Apologies for the delay in bringing you the Test on IS-1002.

UPDATE: All became good at 0842GMT. (Seems Telenor thought it was reasonable to have 1x engineer to manage the talk-up of my 5x feeds this morning, and also demand a lengthy x-pol check too.) Hmmm.

Met Opera: Pre-Season Testing

Good Morning to all you Met Opera Cinema partners.

At 0830GMT/0930UK/1030CEST we are having a 1hr pre-Season Test on IS-1002 (with separate feeds of English, German and Russian subtitles), on Eut5W/AB3 (with French and Spanish subtitles) and Telstar 12 (with English subtitles)

All feeds are DVBS-2/QPSK/Pilot OFF

If you have trouble, please call your designated Helpline facility.

There will be a feed on IS10-02, AB3/Eutelsat5W and IS905

The service name will be ” ArqEnc9 ” The content will be the Ciel Ecran Test Loop. Remember this is a DVBS-2/8PSK/Pilot ON broadcast

There is a morning test today 11.00-12.00 BST in advance of tonight’s transmission. Please call your helpline if you have problems tuning in.
Service established on both channels at 09:48GMT
Some people are experiencing audio problems – we are investigating.  Appears to be only effecting some receivers…
Encoder configuration changed and audio problem resolved at 10:31GMT
Transmission ceased at 11:00GMT

14:15BST Problems sorted – service now established
15:02BST Service ceased – we apologise for the delay in establishing test at the start, all due to technical issues at the uplink site
