SATFACTS: Live Cinema Broadcast Transmission Information

There have been reports of sync issues at a few isolated sites.  However, I can confirm that the transmission is syncronous on the satellite. I am sorry to hear that some of you appear to be having local difficulties.

Both channels established on IS10-02 at 17:26 GMT

Services down at 10:31 GMT. Clean and stable TX.

Service name for today’s test is ‘Arqiva’

Services established on IS10-02 and AB3. Fully stable at 09.22 GMT
Remember, this is an DVBS2 / 8PSK transmission.

All services down at 20:51 GMT. Despite PID errors, stable and clean TX.

19:30 GMT: PID issues stabilise on main path from USA, Earlier PID issues also noted at New Jersey teleport where reserve path is routed. In light of this, the UK service was not switched to reserve. We remain on the main path.

19:06 GMT: We are experiencing ‘PID continuity count issues’ on the main circuit from New York. These are not currently affecting the pictures nor the audio on our output from the UK teleport. However, we are considering changing to the transatlantic reserve feed during the interval. Its likely you will see/hear a disturbance whilst we do this.

Services established on AB3, IS10-02 and W3a at 14:33. All stable.
