MET OPERA TESTS: 3rd October

The Test on Eutelsat E5Wa will be at 0730GMT/0830BST/0930CEST for 60′. There will be 2x feeds: one with French and one with Spanish subtitles.

The Test on IS-1002 and IS-905 will follow at 0830GMT/0930BST/1030CEST for 60′. This feed has the embedded subtitles for self-selection (unless you are taking via a managed platform such as Ymagis or LANsat)

Consult your tuning guide and operation instructions for reception and subtitle selection.

The usual Helpline is in place to offer feed-availability advice: it will NOT give tuning or selection tutorials.

UPDATE @ 0945GMT: Takers on E5Wa need to use a symbol rate of 15000Msymb/sec.

The test period started at 0900GMT/1000BST/1100CEST

There are feeds on IS-1002, IS-905 and E5Wa.

The Test loop will play until 1000GMT/1100BST/1200CEST and then there will be colour bars and atmos audio until 1215GMT/1315BST/1414CEST

MET OPERA: Pre-Season Embedded Subtitle Test 0930-1030GMT 5th Sept

UPDATE @ 0935GMT: the feed is stable with all the subtitle languages below successfully decoded here at CBS Ltd 

 

As you are aware, the Met Opera will be using embedded subtitles this Season. I am sure you also understand that the language you want must be selected via the remote control of your satellite receiver. CONSULT THE USER HANDBOOK IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS.

The available languages are: English German French Spanish Russian Italian French Swedish Portuguese

The usual conference bridge Helpline will be in place for the hour.  

The Helpline is NOT there to give individual tuning tutorials or instructions on subtitle selection. CONSULT THE USER HANDBOOK IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TUNE or Select
